I once attended a speech where the speaker dramatically recited lyrics from some obscure Prince song.  The speech was for a mock election.  During the speech I was thinking, “this guy is a nutjob.”  To my surprise, the conclusion of his speech was met with a loud standing ovation.  I thought that was remarkably stupid.
